How to Care for your Transferable Steel Truck Body

 

We service our truck by changing the oil, filters etc.  We need to stay on top of it or our truck life will not be so great.

Below are some ideas to service your transferable truck body for a longer life as well.

·        Give your Fleetwest Transferable Steel Truck Body 2 or 3 coats of a good automotive wax when you first get it. This will give another layer of protection, as well as making it clean up easier.

·         Keep all hinges, locks and lift strut ball studs lubricated.  White lithium spray works for most applications, however in very dusty climates a better choice would be a dry film graphite spray.

·        Occasionally clean the rams on the lift struts.  Just a wipe with a soft cloth.  This will extend the life of the strut by keeping the seals clean.

·        Keep it clean! By keeping your Fleetwest Transferable Steel Truck Body clean you will extend the life of the finish and prevent surface rust.
