Honda Ridgeline Work Truck Debut

The midsize pickup truck is gaining ground with new models such as the Chevy Colorado, Toyota Tacoma, and the Honda Ridgeline, which will debut by 2016, according to Hardworkingtrucks.com. Production of the current Honda Ridgeline, built in Alabama, will conclude during 2014. The new Ridgeline will likewise be built in the U.S. with a more traditional pickup truck appearance.

The upward trend in midsize models is likely due to fuel cost fluctuations and environmental concern. The first generation Honda Ridgeline was named the 2006 North American Truck of the Year because of its unique design and half-ton truck capability. With the resurgence of midsize pickup trucks, the market for compatible truck bodies will also likely increase.

Fleetwest Transferable Truck Bodies offers Durashell service bodies which are durable, yet light enough for the midsize model pickups.
