GM is set to offer diesel engines for their mid-size pickup trucks in hopes of appealing to a new range of buyers. Diesel engines were previously only available for GM heavy-duty pickups. The Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon will be available with diesel engines later this year at 1,100 pounds lighter than the F-150, according to the Wall Street Journal. The new pickup trucks will be more fuel efficient and slightly smaller than their full-size counterparts.
