Custom pickup work truck

Finding a truck to fit your inner personality is easier today than it was even 10 years ago. It is now more popular than ever to get a customized truck straight from the dealerships. Special edition pickups are available from all the major manufacturers. Many truck owners in the past would drive a truck off the dealership lot and then start the painstaking customization process, piece by piece. Now you can walk into any dealership and every truck looks custom. Even if it’s the same truck, because of the options available to you the customer. Everything cosmetic with options like custom rims, grilles, emblems, paint jobs, etc. to function such as cab size, tow packages, side steps, bed liners, lights…and the list goes on and on! Take for example the Sublime Green Limited Edition Dodge Ram 1500.

The same process can be done with your work pickup truck. You can start with the truck you have or start shopping for a brand new truck and Fleetwest can help you build a work truck that suits you and your company needs. Choose a Load’N’Go model and then start adding your options, such as:
  • Ladder or material racks
  • Slide out trays
  • Adjustable shelving
  • Drawer dividers
  • Vice Mounts & Tool Holders

The customizing doesn’t have to stop there, either. The service bodies all come to you white powder coated, the perfect canvas for your creation to paint or even wrap it. One of my favorite examples is "Big Red" that Pro Pickup Magazine customized a Fleetwest Load'N'Go for a give away back in 2013.

The Fleetwest service body models fix to the truck bed using a clamping system, making them fully transferable from one truck bed to another.  Even fully loaded! Call Fleetwest today toll-free in the U.S. at (866) 497-7200 and create your own limited edition. www.fleetwest.net

2014 Pickup Trucks

The 2014 pickup truck lineup has arrived and it's impressive. The overall theme is better fuel economy, bigger payloads, and luxury interior options. Dodge, Chevy and GMC boast new models that look and perform better.

2014 Dodge Ram 1500
Dodge is the first to offer a 3.0 liter EcoDiesel engine, improving on their already best in class fuel efficiency. With the new fuel economy rules coming in 2016, Dodge will be ahead of the game. The Ram has high strength, light-weight steel throughout, reducing 30 pounds in the chassis and frame. Rear coil springs and adjustable ride height improve driver capability on both highway and rough terrain. The new 2500 and 3500 heavy duty Ram pickup trucks lead the class with a whopping 30,000 lb towing capacity. That means no costly rigs are necessary when you can conveniently tow heavy loads with your pickup truck. Also, fewer repairs and less wear and tear when the heavy duty pickups aren't loaded to capacity will save you money in the long run.

2014 Chevy Silverado 1500
Chevy has done some major model improvements with the new Silverado. Outside, an upgraded pickup bed, under-bed lighting, and an easy open/close tailgate are just a few of the aesthetically pleasing features. Inside, Chevy is using new powertrain technology to provide an efficient V-8 (keeping with our fuel economy theme); the EcoTec3 V-6 is also available. There are three new lighter and stronger axles and a relentless traction control system. No record setting marks have been achieved for the new Silverado, but there is overall improved driving capabilities. The High Country model could possibly be the first luxury pickup of its kind and with options from basic to decked out leather interiors, there's something for everyone.

2014 GMC Sierra 1500
GMC fuel efficiency is less about an eco-engine and more about aerodynamics. The Sierra spent a lot of time in the wind tunnel and came out with features like a new air dam and ducts to improve airflow and increase mpg's. GMC also upgraded the chassis, suspension, and cabin. The upgraded chunkier styling may not be everyone's cup of tea, but at least it's a departure from the same Sierra we have seen for years. Quieter cabs make for a pleasant ride and less noise pollution. The new safety equipment is impressive with forward collision alert and lane departure warnings activated by video technology that can potentially reduce risk of injury.

2014 Fleetwest Transferable Truck Bodies
Load'N'Go and Durashell service bodies by Fleetwest are a universal fit for all of the new 2014 pickup truck models. The lightweight, fiberglass Durashell options as well as the newly powder coated Load'N'Go service bodies are available for GMC, Chevy, Dodge, Ford, Toyota, and Nissan pickup trucks.
