Work Truck News

Michelin donates tires to the Yellowstone National Park fleet of 800 vehicles which include security vans, garbage trucks, and specialty tractors. According to Work Truck Magazine, Michelin has been working with Yellowstone to reduce the parks green house emissions 30 percent by 2016. The tire company also offers training for specialized tires to improve vehicle performance and lower maintenance costs.

The partnership will reduce:
  • Yellowstone operating expenses - Michelin donates the tires and services to the park yearly.
  • Consumption of raw materials - tires can now be replaced every 2-3 years rather than yearly.
  • Fuel consumption - due to Michelin's green tire technology that makes driving more economical.
